authorPoint Lite no longer working after Flex3 Builder install Hi Baroque,

It seems the check for flash ActiveX is failing in aPLite after installation of FlexBuilder 3.0.

If you are a bit familiar with flash player ActiveX check in Javascript you might be knowing that we use to check for Flash player version at location HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash.* (* for specific version of player. something like 1 or 2 or 9 say for player version 9).
I just checked my Registry for same thing on my machine as well. I found that as i have installed Flex builder they(adobe) have removed or they are maintaining only one folder now something like: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash you can check this location and you will see that they are maintaining CurVer folder for flash player version now. Not multiple folders for each version.

I think aPLite should update there software for this flash player check.

Thanks,
Vivek.

Datafiles and Slides location With the existing player architecture i think you wont be able to do it any other way then iframe. Maybe in future release plans they have something coming up for you.

Compatibilty with Adobe Flex 2 application It would be hard to say what exactly is the problem without looking at your code file.

Moreover are you trying to import/load index.swf file in flex application? Which is the main player, which drives the whole presentation.
Here you have to make sure that index.swf file your flex swf file and the other folders i.e. Data, Slides, Images are on same root level. Because index.swf file looks for xml files and slides relative to it.

I hope 2nd and 3rd paragraph will solve your problem if it's not related to your code.

Convert to exe? Follow these steps and you will have your exe ready

1. Make sure you create your exe in the same location you have your index.swf file i.e. all Data, Images and Slides folder should be there relative to index.exe (or whatever name you give to your exe file).
2. Whenever you play your exe file you should have all folders there relative to your exe file as they are not included in the exe file you create through your standalone player.

RTMP HI Max,

Are you talking about relaying FLV(audio/video) file through FMS(Flash Media Server) in authorPOINT?

Thanks,
Vivek.

Import of authorpoint flash player into my own flash presentation player You can not overwrite the existing flash player i.e. you can not overwrite the controls but you can place authorpoint player into your own flash file using the following code.

mcPlaceholderClip._lockroot = true;
mcPlaceholderClip.loadMovie("index.swf";

considering mcPlaceholderClip as the movieclip which will hold authorpoint player(index.swf file) i.e. in which authorpoint player will be loaded.

RTMP Sorry for the late reply. Just came to this page today.

If you have purchased authorPOINT and it's add on customization then in that case authorGEN does provide a customized FMS based flash player for authorPOINT. Please contact authorGEN support for it.

Thanks.
