Hi

i think you are using Embed / linked media with settings play across slide. current version of authorPOINT Lite does not support this settings. Media got played only for the slide where it is linked / embedded.
You can set media as Transition sound. Transition sounds are working with current authorPOINT Lite.

thanks

Hi sb

authorPOINT Lite does not work with Power point viewer. MS Powerpoint should installed on the system where you are using authorPOINT Lite.

Thanks

Ha. For some reason I completely missed the earlier post on RMTP - this answers the question. Sorry. Evidently, I have to purchase the customization option and then contact support for a specical viewer that can handle rmtp streaming, if I understood the reply correctly : )

Administrator,

Per your last comment, that the "Latest release of authorPOINT Lite 3.1 is currently available for free download with support for Embedded\Linked Media support (Wav\Mp3)", I downloaded the latest release and I still cannot get the audio to extent past slide 1. In MS PPT 2007 the audio starts with slide 1 and plays for the entire duration of the presentation. My presentation has animation and each slide transitions automatically. Please advise.

margins around SWF for Trade Show Template

The white space can't be reduced as it is the stage area of the file. The stage area can't be changed at runtime. The output of the tradeshow and E-Compact players is just the change in positions of the objects as per the output desired for the presentation.

Thanks

Rehersed timing's not working very well

Thanks for the reply I looked up both links but it doesn't help.
I have all the animations set to medium, not fast or very fast and I am using fade as my animation anyway and it is not working the same as original as is should according to the link http://www.authorgen.com/flash-sdk/powerpoint-animation-effects.aspx on my Flash. It is very slow. I find that the narration I have done is almost finished before the animation that was supposed to come in at the beginning of the slide for emphasis even starts.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks again.

Audio across all slides

administrator
Posts 33
Hi Mike

Current version of authorPOINT Lite does not support embedded/linked media across slides. We play audio only on the slide in which it is linked/embedded (As in your case it is slide 1, and the audio will play only for slide 1.) This will be supported with our next release scheduled shortly.

The current fix is to use the sound as transition sound. The transition sound will play across slide as you want in your case. Attach the sound as transition sound for first slide, and you will get the desired output.

Thanks

1.We recommend not to use 'Custom timings' or 'Very fast option' for animation timings.

3.The best practices link is available at : http://www.authorgen.com/flash-sdk/windows-ppt2flash-dev-kit.aspx

4. The link for animations we support is :
http://www.authorgen.com/flash-sdk/powerpoint-animation-effects.aspx

We recommend the use of animations marked Same as Original in the above link.

Thanks

Can a authorGEN file be uploaded into moodle freeware which I use for teaching?

You can also do it by zipping all the files in the apLite folder and uploading it under resources as a file. Unzip the contents and link to index.html and it will work. I find it is best to make a seperate folder in Moodle to uzip all the bits to first.

As a fllowup to this question, in BlackBoard, I can send the APLite folder to a compressed folder, upload it to BB Content Collecction area, then link to it, have BB Unpackage it internally, then select an entry point file and it runs fine. I am new to Moodle, but are you aware whether Moodle might have tthe same capability?

Hi

Yes, hyper links on text and images are supported with aP Lite (with office 2007) but with office XP\2003, only links on images get converted.

Hi
Use the standard size of 720*540 pixels (10*7.5 inches ) for the slides, in page setup of powerpoint and reconvert it with autorPOINT Lite.

Thanks
